A good way to study the effects of these frmlcodes on what ADD-factors etc are produced as GEKKO interprets the stated equation may proceed in the following way: 1. include that equation in a model file (.frm) and 2. let GEKKO read that file using the MODEL command and read an accompanying databank....

In the current development version, GEKKO 2.3.5, the string you mention is used as follows, where the variable to be plotted is 'fcp':
Plot<1994 2016 plotcode='Set xrange [1994:2016]'> fcp;

It also works with GEKKO v.2.2.5.
